Regarding old vine Zinfandel: At home as a child, my father made what I think was zinfandel. Some 40 years later I had an Old-World zinfandel made by Sterling, if my memory is correct. It was a wine that brought back the wonderful aromas and tastes of my chlldhood bread-dipping wine. Are your old vines producing that kind of wine?
