Allow Me To Introduce Myself ...

My name is Clay Gordon and I am the creator and moderator of - an online community for chocophiles and aspiring chocophiles.

I started writing about chocolate professionally in 2001 at, and my first book on chocolate, Discover Chocolate, was published by Gotham Books (Penguin) in 2007. Discover Chocolate was a finalist in the 2008 IACP Cookbook Awards.

Discover Chocolate includes a chapter on pairing chocolate and wines and other adult beverages, and I have given pairing lectures and tasting classes to the NYC chapter of Les Dames d'Escoffier and at NYU's School of Continuing and Professional Studies organized with the help of the James Beard Foundation.

I am available as a speaker on chocolate/wine/beer/cheese pairings, and consult on PR/Marketing and Business Development to chocolatiers and chocolate makers. If you are in the wine business and are interested in developing related products with chocolate, give me a shout.

Sophisticated Pairings - Beyond Dark Chocolate and Red Wine

You should check us out. I had wanted to integrate chocolate into our magazine for a while through editorial content and advertising.
