I sometimes feel like I live in a vacuum. . . which is why I pose this question to you. There is a lot of hub-ub surrounding Robert Parker and his writers, and number of people have since raised the question about whether bloggers should or shouldn't try to monetize their writing. What do you think?
What is wrong or right with writers making money on their blog?
I can't imagine it would be wrong to make money off of a blog. A blog isn't a charity that requires you to give your time and opinion freely. I get paid to blog for Woodinville Wine Update. It takes time and effort to get some of the information that I get from our local winemakers. I'm not complaining about hanging out in tasting rooms but my time does have value.
