Hello friends, I will gladly accept a better picture for our groups icon as I used what I had on hand to make our statement photo. We have much to talk about and our subject manner is hard to beat. Welcome one and all to our discussions and please open threads to your hearts content.

-Thank you for joining,

I would like to know who among us has drop shipping capabilities? I am very interested in the coffee and chocolate side. I have many ideas floating in my head and would love to talk to industry people so I do not learn as fools learn but instead be "otherwise instructed".

Nice group George! I think I'll be happy to either contribute or learn - plenty of both. Your Miami connection to cigars will be a welcome resource in this group.

Nate,

I haven't actually gotten to my own contact lists yet so our usual suspects have not been invited yet. I will be heading to the local cigar stores and telling them about the group. I have 3 that I can walk to in about 4 hours even with visiting and talking etc. Shall be fun. I also will be getting my business cards from Examiner soon so I can do my highlight of their business, and do double duty inviting them here.

What about the other C of the French: Coffee - COGNAC - and Cigars?

I think that would fit under the same topic for a Wine and Hospitality group.

Pretty cool George, thanks for the invite...
I quit smoking last year so I'll bow out from the cigar talk, but I am a bit of a coffee nut... I do alot of product recommendations to my clients so I'm looking forward to what everyone has to say.

Thanks again!

Victor we are here to hear your recommendations. What do you recommend for after that dinner you ate to much at and now your sitting down with some really sweet dessert (baklava). I like to drink a strong tasting almost "nutty" coffee black. I'm interested in a good brew for that. Actually really interested.

I did quite a bit of research several months ago for a company that needed nationwide distribution capabilities. Needless to say, I spent a very caffeinated 2 months trying the best the US has to offer. Personally, my favorite is Allegro, the Wholefoods brand. They have a huge number of organic and fair trade coffees to choose from, but what really sold it for me was they they only roast their beans when a client places an order. They keep nothing in stock! Sure, it can be a challenge to order a week out, but let me tell you... The rewards are worth it!

I just went back and checked my records from my tasting and the best dark in my opinion from Allegro was their Sumatra Blue Batak. Its a single origin that is super rich and nutty with a long finish. Perfect to cut through all the butter in a baklava.
