The second of our three Songwriters In Sonoma shows will take place once again at Community Cafe in Sonoma on July 19 and will feature, Tony Gibson, Garrett Pierce and Sarah Summers. See our musician information below.
Our June show was a smash sell out and Chef Margie whipped up some amazing food, including a hearty pork chili smothered in cheese and a selection of cool, summer salads. Her menu changes each month!
The doors will open at 6 p.m. so come early and grab a bite before the 7 p.m. show. Tickets are $10 per person. Seating is limited and reservations may be made by calling 707-934-4090.
A Sonoma native, Tony Gibson spent six years in Los Angeles working on the label side of the recording industry, before he took up guitar and awoke his passion for playing in front of audiences. He writes songs of love, hate, relationships, introspection, crimes and resolution. His debut solo album is due out this fall.
With influences like Leonard Cohen and Henry Miller, Garrett Pierce, pens songs that peek into a dark yet optimistic place. His voice seems to soar alongside ballads or dirgey rock songs with the emotional confidence of someone who has found his path after years of yearning.
Sarah Summers was raised in Sonoma and began composing at the age of 13. A folksy, vocalist, lyricist and strings musician, she has slowly gained recognition as a local, young emerging artist. Sarah will be attending UCLA this fall as a World Arts and Culture/Dance major.
Songwriters In Sonoma is presented each month by Meadowcroft Wines, hosted by Sonoma Valley Music and sponsored by Music Nomad.
